Transcending the Mundane is a fair and open-minded fanzine from Long Island, New York, which covers a wide variety of metal styles, from traditional heavy metal to experimental, black, death metal, and beyond. All interviews are in alphabetical order, and all bands get the same level of treatment.

Issue #8 contains interviews with Agent Steel, Arch Enemy, Cannibal Corpse, Crimson Glory, Dark Tranquillity, Immolation, Lynch Mob, Mercyful Fate, Neurotica, Novembers Doom, Power of Omens, Willow Wisp, and many more.
