Transcending the Mundane is a fair and open-minded fanzine from Long Island, New York, which covers a wide variety of metal styles, from traditional heavy metal to experimental, black, death metal, and beyond. All interviews are in alphabetical order, and big names get the same level of treatment as the most unheard ones. 

Issue #12 offers huge amounts of material in its 96 pages and contains interviews with Celestial Season, Dark Tranquillity, Destruction, The Gathering, Hypocrisy, Glenn Hughes, Last Crack, Nocturnal Rites, and many more.
