Transcending the Mundane is a fair and open-minded fanzine from Long Island, New York, which covers a wide variety of metal styles, from traditional heavy metal to experimental, black, death metal, and beyond. All interviews are in alphabetical order, and big names get the same level of treatment as the most unheard ones.

Issue #28 contains interviews with Russel Allen, Candlemass, Circus Maximus, Dark Tranquillity, Draconian, Green Carnation, James LaBrie, Novembers Doom, Primordial, Soilwork, and many more.
