Other Issues:

After Vital Wound #1 was done and all 30 copies of it distributed worldwide, Sėkla decided to make an official newspaper dedicated to Metal in Lithuanian language called "Dvėseliena" ("Carrion"). Yeah, it was wild times, you could go to the newsstand and demand some carrion! He published 2 or 3 issues, but due to lack of broad interest (who would have thought) had to stop. I was intent to continue with Vital Wound zine and make it known in the worldwide underground scene, so I've started to take English language classes, sent tons of letters with interviews asking for promo material and things began to take shape. My friend Šarūnas Sabaitis also offered to collaborate and did some reviews as well. The big improvement was that I was studying programming and had accesss to a computer! So during my work practice I used all available time to enter interviews and reviews into PC and print them out to be cut and pasted into DYI layout. The original paste up was realy cool with some colors and was done in A4 format as shown in this anthology. But the printing was out of question due to lack of money, so I had to reduce it to A5 and make photocopies at this girl's dad's work where they had a photocopier. Yeah, shit was scarce for sure, but I've managed to make about 100 copies. As for the cover, it was painted by our friend in BW, but I always wanted to make it black and red with all interviewed bands listed. It was impossible back then and the list on black and white looked bad, so it came out like that. But for this book I've done it the way I imagined it from the beginning and this should have been the right cover. Check it out for yourself, I think it is much better!
