Underground Empire is the German bible of underground heavy, power, progressive, and thrash metal. Issue #4 features interviews with Sanctuary, Sepultura, Anacrusis, and many more. The demo reviews section is massive (14 pages!), and the record reviews section offers plenty to digest and features a granular 20-point system. Moreover, there are many nice sections such as "It's Not Metal... But I Like It" (featuring Fields of the Nephilim), "Once Upon a Zine" (with Rock Hard), as well as "Cult Complete" (with Jag Panzer) and Demo Classics (featuring the likes of Mordred, Running Wild, Voivod, Oblivion Knight, Psychotic Waltz).
